Partner yoga includes flowing sequences where students assist their partner in each pose of the sequence like a playful dance, as well as poses of static and dynamic symmetry where both students use the strength and support of one another. It’s often easy for us to get way too serious and overly concerned with achieving perfection. Partner yoga gives us a space for human cooperation, kindness, communication, and selflessness. We can learn to be present with our bodies and minds, to support someone else’s practice as well as our own.
