Are you often stressed, anxious or overwhelmed?
Does busy life = busy mind?
In this workshop designed with the life of a professional women in mind, we will practice some simple, practical techniques to have you relaxed and thinking clearly as you move through even the busiest of days.
Simply taking a moment to breathe begins to release the overwhelming feelings of always having to be on the go; and it is a tool used in mindfulness.
Mindfulness can simply be noticing what we don't normally notice, because our heads are too busy in the future or in the past - thinking about what we need to do, or going over what we have done.
What we will be doing:
• Learn practical tools that you can apply daily in your life to make lasting change.
• A few simple yoga moves to release tension that you can do anytime,
anywhere, sitting or standing!
• Experience basic Mindfulness Meditations that you will be able to practice at home
• Create a different way to relate to yourself and your thoughts
• Enjoy an evening of community
By practicing Mindfulness you basically train your mind to be happier, more responsive and flexible. You will learn how to be present and become aware of your own thought patterns and habits. This will enable you to recognize the automatic tendencies of your mind and to consciously choose to respond differently.
