“Waking up to who you are requires letting go of who you imagine yourself to be.” ~Alan Watts

Restorative yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate health and relaxation.   Using blankets, bolsters, pillows, blocks, and straps to support the body, restorative yoga works to bring profound shifts to the central nervous system, promoting deep restfulness, physical healing and greater well-being.  Some of the benefits a restorative yoga practice has to offer include:

ॐ     Slows down the pace of life
ॐ     Soothing to the nervous system
ॐ     Encourages mindfulness
ॐ     Cultivates higher body awareness
ॐ     Deepens self-awareness & introspection
ॐ     Creates deliberativeness of action
ॐ     Strengthens acceptance & detachment
ॐ     Helps you feel safe & nurtured

This gentle & nurturing experience is open to all.   Whether you are releasing the stresses of daily life, recovering from illness or injury or training for an athletic event, you will receive many benefits from this evening of restoration!
